What a giggler! Kendall was struck with the laughter bug during her session. It’s adorable! When she starts to giggle, she brings her hand up to her mouth and covers it, gets squinty eyes, and crinkles up her nose!

To hear a child laugh is priceless!

Strike a Pose!

June 29, 2007

Miss McKenna had so much fun at her portrait session. She was all about "the look." The best part is…she can pull it off…with those amazing eyes. She strikes that serious pose, and her eyes just jump out at you, with that unique color and the way they pierce you. She is going to be fighting off the boys when she’s gets older.

Sister, Keily, has great eyes, too! However, she never sits long enough for you to capture them! Down, up, down, up, run around in circles, run to the wall, run to the other wall! What energy…I wish I had half of her energy!

Logo Revealed!

June 28, 2007

I am excited to announce that our new logo has been revealed! I have been going crazy with replacing our old logo with our new one, in every place I can find – it’s in a TON of places! Some things are easier than others. Here are a few sneak peeks of places you might see the new logo.

Back to OK!

June 27, 2007

This weekend took us back to Oklahoma, to reveal slide shows and images to everyone we had photographed back in May. It was a great trip! It was a whirlwind, with constant activity and not much rest and relaxation, but it was a blast! Everyone loved their images, and I can’t wait to get all of their portraits created, so they can hang them on their walls.

Our home away from home in Oklahoma is at the Yates Family home! Shawna is awesome about opening her home to Pete and I and making us feel so welcome. Her hospitality and attention to every little detail are unmatched. Our bathroom towels were the Photography by Brandi blue and green. She prepares great snacks for all of our clients to enjoy with color coordinated napkins! She lets us completely rearrange her family room, whether it be to set up for portrait sessions or ordering appointment – even high jacking her flat screen tv! Her daughters make us feel like part of the family, with plenty of hugs and kisses! Thanks, Shawna, you are AWESOME!

Missing Teeth?

June 23, 2007

I love this stage in kids! When they have no front teeth! It’s such an adorable look and so timeless to capture in photographs! Paige’s infectious laughter just added to her "spacey" grin!

Just the Two of Us!

June 22, 2007

I have been so lucky this last month to have the opportunity to photograph some great couples! I can’t tell you how many times I have talked with couples who have been married for many years, only to learn that the last time they had photographs of themselves together was at their wedding! I think it’s so important to photograph, not only your children, but the relationship that created your children.

When I have the chance to photograph these couples, I love the emotions that come out in their photographs. The way they know exactly what buttons to press to make each other smile, giggle and even erupt in laughter. There is immense comfort in being with someone who knows you so well!

Four Legged Kids!

June 20, 2007

Photographing dogs is really not that much different from children. However, unlike children, they never grow up. To me dogs are forever like two year olds – they listen to you (sometimes), you have to attend to their bathroom needs, and sometimes they throw tantrums and bark a lot!

Even though they may be two year olds, I love dogs. It doesn’t matter their size, shape or breed, they are all wonderful animals. Every dog has it’s own distinct personality, and the love and devotion they have for their owners is unmatched!

Buddy & Shasta are two such kids! All they wanted to do was play, but we were still able to capture some great images of the siblings!

Double the Trouble!

June 19, 2007

A high energy, excited 18 month old…times two! Their session was definitely crazy, but how it could it not have been…there were two of them, going completely different directions! Mommy and Daddy definitely have to stay on their toes to keep up with these two.

I do love how their different personalities come out in their images. Eli’s sweet and reserved demeanor, and Ardyn’s full of energy and active personality.

The world had better watch out for these two!

Family Fun!

June 18, 2007

What a great family to photograph! They were so full of fun and laughter! You can tell they really care about each other and have great relationships. They can certainly make each other laugh – the "boys" are definitely the family clowns!

Strong Little Man!

June 17, 2007

Meet Cole. In December, Cole was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. In January, he started a treatment process that will run for 24 months. He has completed the first three phases of his treatment plan. Over the past six months he has spent many days in the hospital, fighting his cancer, low blood count, high temperatures, pneumonia and many other side effects of the chemotherapy.

In March, he had a scan done, and it showed no cancer! He will continue on his fourth phase of treatment for another 18 months. This phase will consist of three visits a week to the clinic for treatments and shots, but hopefully no more hospital stays.

Cole has returned to school and has started swimming lessons, two things he was very excited to tell me about! Even with all he’s been through, that precious dimpled smile still shines bright!

What a blessing and joy to photograph such a strong little man!
