Just Smiles!
Alex was so much fun to photograph. She smiled the entire time! It was actually a challenge to get her to be serious and not smile. She said all of her friends can tell when she’s trying to keep a secret, because she just can’t help but crack a smile! The best part is when she laughs, because she shrugs her shoulders up…definitely too cute!
Month to Month
We’ve been patiently awaiting the arrival of baby Dominic! Capturing each month as he grew inside mommy’s tummy! We are so excited that he entered the world a couple of weeks ago! An 8 lb 2 ounce healthy little man!
The Year of Siblings
For some reason, this year has turned out to be the year that I have been asked to photograph a lot of senior siblings! Several of the seniors that I photographed this fall are brothers and sisters of seniors that I photographed 1, 2, 3 and 4 years ago! I love this fact! It is so much fun to catch up with the family, find out what the older siblings are doing, and get to know the younger siblings! Though related, each one is their own unique person with their own unique personalities and styles!
Three years ago, I photographed Jessica’s sister, Brittany. This year, I was excited to photograph Jessica! We had so much fun! Even though it was mid-November, the weather was beautiful – warm and sunny. So much fun (and rare) to be outside this time of year! I especially enjoyed photographing their puppy-dog, Bailey, again!
Stranger Danger
Miss Greta is definitely at the stage where she’s unsure of new people. Shortly after walking in the door, she burst into tears. I think she was pretty sure mommy was going to leave her with this new stranger! After a little hanging out and some cuddling, she was ready to turn on the big gummy grins! What really made her smile, was her lamb blanket! She’s in love with her lamb!
Future As a Model!
I think Christgen has a future as a male model! He was fascinated by my camera. Very seldom did his eyes leave the camera. No matter which way I walked, turned or angled, his eyes were glued to the camera. We had to work extra hard to get cute profile images him! Of course, with those big brown eyes, he definitely will make the ladies swoon!
Baby Number Four is On the Way
Baby "George", as big sister calls him, will be making an appearance pretty soon! He’ll be entering a great family, with three awesome older siblings. Mom and Dad haven’t found out the sex of the baby, content to wait until "he" arrives. When I polled the kids, Bret said he wants a brother, Sarah wants a sister and Zach is indifferent! It will be fun to find out if baby number four is a boy or a girl!
Performing Like Pros
Ava & Lily walked in a little shy, but once mommy had done their hair to perfection, they were ready to smile! I had been prepared for a bit of turbulence, given their ages of almost 2 and 3, but they were complete professionals! They performed like models, giving just the right amount of smiles and following directions! It was too much fun!
Happy Baby!
Meika is a happy baby! Full of smiles and (happy) screams! Even at her newborn session, Meika smiled multiple huge gummy smiles! Three months later, nothing has changed, she’s still smiling up a storm. To top it off, she has now learned how to scream…from her one year old cousin. She has found her voice! She definitely enjoys hearing herself too, because she lets out many frequent screams!
Turn On the Fan
One of my favorite parts of a Senior Session is the fan time! How can you not feel like a model with the air blowing on you, whipping your hair every which way! The girls usually have fun being goofy with the fan! Mallory was no different! It brought out some of her great big gorgeous smiles, and even a laugh or two!
Adorable Boys
This time of year I get to see a lot of my existing clients!
Portraits make great holiday gifts and, of course, awesome holiday cards. All of my existing clients know how crazy my schedule becomes at this time of year, so they are frequently booking their appointments way in advance!
These adorable boys are no different! I have photographed little man Brayden since he was a baby. As a baby, he was so cute and rolly! Now he’s grown into a fine young man, with an infectious laugh! His more serious older brother, Bailey, is also a lot of fun to photograph, but requires a lot more work to get that cute dimple to show!
