Lots of Looks

November 30, 2008

Dominic is a pretty laid back little guy. He's very interested in checking everything out and has the ability to really focus on something. So even though daddy and I were acting like fools, he was content to ignore us and focus on other things. Every once in a while he would glance up and cast a look our way.

The funny thing is, he has a ton of different looks. I'm sure to him each look means something completely different. To me, they are just cute baby expressions!

Silly Baby

November 28, 2008

Lila started off as happy as could be – eyes wide open, staring right at the camera! But about half way through, she decided, wait "I don't like this naked thing!" So she started fussing, though I did get to hear some real cries, she also had a lot of fake cries! The fake cries were completely cracking us up, they were so petite and sporadic, completely different than her real cry. With a little bit of work, a blanket to cover her up, a binky for her to suck on and perfect timing, we got through the naked baby "crisis."

Happy Thanksgiving

November 27, 2008

Pebbles and Joey want to wish everyone a Happy, Happy Thanksgiving!

Christmas Cuties!

November 24, 2008

Although Lauren & Lucy were dressed in their adorable holiday outfits, they weren't on their best "Santa's Watching" behavior. They came out after a long day at school, both a bit tired and out of their element. That didn't stop us from capturing some adorable images of them both! Sometimes non-perfect behavior is even better, because then I get to capture their true personalities!

Mass Chaos

November 23, 2008

That's the only word to describe the Sage Family when they arrived at the studio for a portrait session. With three kiddos four and under, they walk in with bags of clothes, hair bows, diaper bags and all the works to get everyone looking their best! Unfortunately, as much as you wish it was a perfectly oiled machine with kiddos listening and behaving, it just never goes that way. From kids rolling on the ground to standing on the couch, you just have to move fast to keep up with everyone!

However, it doesn't matter how much chaos there is, it never stops us from getting very cute images of these adorable kiddos!

Sisters!

November 20, 2008

Lily and Ava might be a year and a half apart in age, but you'd never mistake them as anything else except sisters! Which makes the fact that they are super sweet with each other even that much more special! Ava just adores Lily. Anything that Lily does, she's right there with her. If Lily starts jumping, Ava starts jumping. If Lily says something, Ava repeats it. They are just too cute…you can't help but smile at them!

Bows!

November 19, 2008

Since Charleigh is a bit challenged in the hair department, mom has become extremely talented and creative with making hair bows! Charleigh doesn't go anywhere without a bow! Mom walked in carrying at least half a dozen different bows for me to choose from. So even though Charleigh was mostly naked for her session, she had a least four clothing changes, just with bows and hats alone!

Silly Daddy

November 18, 2008

Daddies are always great at making their kiddos smile and laugh. The way I see it, Mommies are the providers and comforters and Daddies are the entertainment and playmates. Luke's Daddy was no different. He was full of strange noises and silly faces that Luke just adored!

Luke loves being naked! He looked adorable in his cowboy outfit and even gave us some great smiles. But, the minute we took off his clothes and let him hang out naked, he was all giggles and big grins.

Baby Hair

November 17, 2008

It is amazing to me how, in just one week, I can have multiple babies of the same age come into the studio and all of them have completely different amounts of hair. My favorite age for this is six months. Sometimes I'll have almost completely bald babies, other times I'll have babies with a little bit of hair, and then other times I have babies with completely full heads of hair!

Jack is one of those babies with a complete full head of hair! It is absolutely amazing how much hair he has. He almost appears to have more hair than his three year old brother. Of course, it wouldn't be baby hair if it didn't stick up at least a little bit!

Doggies

November 12, 2008

Jack wanted me to meet his three older, hairier siblings – so he brought them along for a fun, yet challenging portrait session. It doesn't matter how well behaved puppy dogs are – they are just like two year olds. There is very little chance that they are going to sit still and let you photograph them! Luckily Jack was happy as could be, and only being six months old, he's not going anywhere! With a little bit of wrangling, (a lot of hair!) and some luck, we captured Jack with his favorite four-legged (and two-legged) family!
