All Gums
Evan doesn’t have any teeth to show off yet, but he’ll definitely flash his gums at you! He also has the greatest little giggle. Those arms start winding up, the eyes get big, out comes a smile and then the finishing touch…a giggle!
Of course, with the amount of drool that was coming out, I would imagine a couple of teeth will be joining those shiny gums, sooner rather than later!

Opposite of No!
At my place, kiddos can get away with a lot more than they can at home! That is completely my doing. I encourage crazy behavior, because I want to capture their true personalities. When you force them to sit and hold still, then you don’t see the real them! So, when they don’t listen, run around in circles, make funny faces, and do their own thing, that’s exactly what I want. I just have to be prepared to be patient and understanding!
Nadia was full of energy at her three year session! She did not know the meaning of hold still!
I’m also pretty sure she has the meaning of yes and no mixed up! If Mommy or I told her no, she would just keep going back and back to do it again, and she would just laugh and laugh at us! You could tell that she was totally testing us, to see how far she could push her luck!

Full Head of Hair!
Little Miss Isabella may just be four months old, but she’s almost got as much hair as I do! Her two older sisters were the exact same when they were her age – full heads of dark, dark hair! Combined with those dark, big eyes, she’s already a looker! Isabella did a great job looking at the camera and flashing big grins, tongue and all!

Eighth Grade
It’s only been six months since the last time I saw Zach, so when he stepped out of the car, I almost fell over. He’s almost as tall as me!! This fall, he will be entering eighth grade. His last year before high school! I’m so excited for him!
We had a blast wandering around outside in the hot, muggy, Kansas weather, getting eaten by bugs! Luckily, we came inside a few times to cool off and change clothes.
We talked about his love for the Harry Potter books and how the movies just aren’t quite the same. We talked about tennis and golf and volleyball!
We just had a great time, even when we included his two younger brothers in the session. They really all did an awesome job, listening and striking poses like professional models!

Chicago Travelers!
There is no bigger compliment than when new clients come from out of state to see me and have their portraits created! Brad and Andrew traveled down, with their mom, from Chicago for just this reason.
Mom trusted me and just left Brad, Andrew and I alone to do our thing. We had such a fun time, laughing and smiling and giggling! Neither guy was very good at doing the serious face, but they could both turn on the charm for sure. Andrew got the giggles over and over. By the end of the session he said his cheeks hurt from laughing so much!
The other big compliment occurred when they were leaving. Andrew was already asking his mom if they could come back! I can’t tell you how much that means to me! This is why I do what I do!!

Chunker
At just six and a half months old, Clark is weighing in at a whopping 23 pounds. By itself that’s pretty amazing, but what will really blow you away is the fact that Clark’s two year old sister weighs just 26 pounds! They can wear the same diapers. His ball cap fits her head just perfectly! Mom’s working on those six pack obliques and chiseled arms carrying him around!

Beautiful Night!
We never would have guessed, when we scheduled their mid July family session, that the temperatures would have been in the high seventies! We got LUCKY! It was a gorgeous night – perfect temps, a slight breeze, green grass, setting sun! The icing on the cake was the perfectly coordinated outfits and the cheerful attitudes of everyone!
