In Came The Storm!
The very first look Quinn gave me was an adorable, coy little smile. I should have known that he had the tools to reel me in! Those curls, his big eyes, that smile and even the missing front tooth are enough to make you melt.
At just 18 months old, Quinn really was a rock star at baby’s maternity session. He struck poses, smiled his big grin and even interacted with Mommy’s belly a little.
But, when I turned my back on him to get some images of just Mommy and Daddy, he had the opportunity to go through all my bins! He was very interested in everything, so everything got pulled out! When I looked back, it looked like a tornado had gone through the studio. There were brushes, hairspray, CDs, baby power and wipes everywhere! My favorite part is the expression he gives. It just says, “What?! I was curious!”
Big Brother
Clayton is super excited to be a big brother! He told me that next month, on July 8th, they’re going to take his baby sister out of his Mommy’s belly and he’s going to welcome her with kisses and hugs!
Not that she doesn’t already get lots of hugs and kisses from big brother Clayton. Just from the short time they were with me for their session, I saw lots of spoiling going on!
I know Mommy doesn’t feel this way, but I just couldn’t get over how tiny she is! Definitely all that’s in there is little miss baby sister! I’m with Clayton, I can’t wait to meet her!
Baby Sister
Gaby’s Mommy is expecting a baby sister any day now! Even though it might be a tough transition for Gaby, as she goes from only child to sharing, she is already madly in love with her sister. “I love her, because she’s my sister!”
She puts her head up to Mommy’s belly and hears her sister saying things to her as well! Based on what Gaby says, her sister is also madly in love with her!

Baby Brendan!
Belly Bump
Carrie & Kurt are expecting their first - a baby girl - in March! In anticipation of the upcoming baby shower, they came in to document this amazing time in their lives. Carrie’s baby bump is adorable! It’s just this little bitty belly sticking out in front of her.
I love it when I get a glimpse into a couple’s relationship during the session. You can tell that Kurt adores Carrie and would just do anything for her. I think he’s going to be in trouble…with a baby girl…he’s going to be wrapped around her finger!
Baby Number II
My good friends, Cheri and Brian, are expecting baby number two! With both kiddos, they have found out during the pregnancy if it’s a boy or a girl, but they haven’t revealed the name. This means some sort of nickname has to be created. With the first baby, it was Baby M. This time, it’s Baby M II. I think it’s a good thing that they’re not planning on having a lot of babies, because I’m not sure I would know enough Roman numerals to figure out which number we’re on!
We know they’re having a boy this time. The perfect addition to their family, since Baby M was an adorable baby girl, Miss Adele!
With Daddy’s crazy tall height, and the fact that Mommy looks like she has a basketball in her tummy, I’ve determined that they’re going to be giving birth to the next famous basketball player! (I know Mommy just loves me making fun of her belly!)
I can’t wait to meet the little man!!
So Sweet!
Maria walked in the door with this adorable little pregnant belly. I know to her it's not so little, but compared to some of the other bellies I've photographed, it was pretty little!
I had a great time photographing Chris & Maria, because I had an opportunity to sneak into their world. Just by asking questions, encouraging them to get close together and watching them interact. They are so sweet with each other! Especially, Chris, you can tell that he just adores Maria.
I'm excited to find out what they're having. I know, whether they have a girl or a boy, they are going to be sweet, sweet parents.
She’s Going To Melt Daddy’s Heart
Even though Daddy is a big time tough guy, he doesn't often get very serious and is always full of joking, laughter and goofiness. I know that his baby girl is going to have him wrapped around her little finger. He's actually already been selecting the girly pink stuff from the baby store and talking about how "she's a girl"!
He's going to be in so much trouble!
It's a good thing mommy and daddy came in for their maternity session when they did, because nine days later Baby Lily arrived!
Hard Headed
Mommy had warned me that youngest daughter, Gabriella, was a bit hard headed and liked to do her own thing. She wasn’t kidding! Gabriella wanted nothing to do with taking photos with mommy’s belly. She always wanted to be three to five feet away, doing her own thing. She’d flash me a great smile and a fun expression, but she wasn’t in the photo.
With lots of bribing, tricking and even some begging, we got everyone in the same photo!
Meanwhile, big sister Madeleine did awesome! It is so hard to behave and cooperate, when little sister is doing her own thing, but Maddie stuck it out and pulled through for us!
Little brother is in for a treat with two, fun loving sisters!
Just One Baby
Heather and her husband, Jon, are expecting their first baby at the end of August!
Although, with the many inquires that Heather receives, as to whether she’s having twins or someone even asked about triplets, I think she’s ready for baby to arrive! Heather and Jon have been blessed with what the doctors like to call "a big baby." Last week, they were told that the baby is measuring around six pounds. I guess on the positive side, I’ve heard that "big" babies usually sleep really well.
They want to be surprised as to whether it’s a boy or girl, in addition to keeping all potential names to themselves - they are driving their friends and family crazy with all the secrets! We can’t wait to meet Baby N!
