Ella is one busy lady. I am positive that, if I hadn’t asked her to stop moving so that I could have in focus photos, she would have swayed, danced, spun, jumped, rolled, sat, stood or squatted the entire session! Even when she did hold still, it was for just a few seconds. Just long enough for me to snap a couple of photos and then she was off to do something else.
Luckily, in between the constant moves, she flashed me all sorts of expressions, from happy, to serious, to silly and everything in between!
Mommy was just talking about how she’s noticed Ella starting to lose her baby/little kid chub. I know why…she must burn a ridiculous number of calories with her always on the go activity level!
Two year olds and tantrums definitely do not work on me. I never have the right reaction…I think they’re hilarious! On the ground kicking, with some fake crying thrown in for good measure…how can you not just laugh at this silly sight?!?
Ella has fully embraced being two! She can work her extremes like the best of them! She could go from super excited and uber cooperative one second, to on the ground, kicking like a donkey, moaning and groaning the next.
Luckily, we had the cooperative, happy Ella more than the sad, frustrated Ella!
That’s the word I would use to describe Ella at her one year session…she’s very curious…about everything! At first, she wasn’t so sure about my shag rug. She walked around it, eyeballing it and taking it in. Finally, with some help from Daddy, she stepped on. Then there was checking out the back of the background, she was very interested in what was going on there. We even kept her interest with a little piece of string. It didn’t matter what it was, Ella had to make sure she checked it out thoroughly before moving on.
Ella’s newest thing…waving hello and goodbye! She’s a pro! That little hand comes up and then little fingers pump up and down. By far one of the cutest things she does!
Despite being sick the week before, Ella pulled out the charm for her nine month session. It was full of hands in the mouth, waves, teeth grins, a few tears and even some Cheerios!
During Ella’s first session, we spent the entire time fighting hands in the mouth! It was definitely her favorite thing to do…AND…that has not changed! For her six month session, she started with her arms straight out in front, or to the side, to balance herself, but as she got comfortable, the arms starting to bend and the hands…they went straight to her mouth!
Of course that did not stop us. We conquered the hands the first go around, we can certainly conquer them this time, too!
Ella is a bit obsessed with her hands! She loves having them in her mouth, and not just a finger or two, but the whole hand and usually both hands! So our challenge for the session was to get her hands out of her mouth and show off that adorable smile! It took some work, but we were successful…adorable, big, gummy, open-mouth smiles!
