Gotcha!

August 21, 2013

Landon had a few favorite sayings the day of his session, but my favorite by far was “I gotcha”! He would say this one and smile big. After seeing Daddy playing with Landon, I’m pretty sure I know where this phrase comes from…there’s a lot of sneaking up, tickling and wrestling in this father/son relationship. I can hear Landon say “gotcha” anytime he gets his Daddy! They are definitely great buddies, and it was fun to have Daddy in the studio to entertain Landon!

Full Circle

Mommy told me that Landon had just woken up from his nap. He was dressed and ready to go. Ready to go, as I quickly discovered, meant full speed ahead! Landon did not slow down once. He had no interest in checking out the chair, or climbing on the bench. He wanted down on the ground and he was going to super speed crawl all over the studio.

The only thing that I found to make him pause for a second was Cheerios. He’d pause long enough to devour them.

So, it was moving, eating and then came the exhaustion…thumb in the mouth, rubbing the eyes, arms over head and ready to crash!

Boss Man

Landon is the serious man! Upon first arrival in a new place, he surveys his surroundings with his big blue eyes. If he sees something he’s not so sure about, or if you say something that confuses him, he furrows his brow. I love this questioning look. You can tell that he’s saying, “Huh?”.

After he’s had a chance to get comfortable, Landon will start to relax and then he will start to talk! He was talking up a storm at his session, basically telling us that he was the boss and it was going to be his way or the highway!

Landon definitely runs the show!

To Each Their Own

It always amazes me how maternity bellies can be so many different shapes and sizes; from the tiny basketball under the shirt, to the, “Are you sure you’re not caring twins?” belly! It’s just amazing how very unique every woman is when it comes to pregnancy and their bellies. You have the women who get the line down the middle, you have some belly buttons that completely pop out and you have round bellies and oblong bellies. Everyone is unique and different.

It doesn’t matter how many bellies I photograph, each and every one of them has their own characteristics. Baby Landon’s belly is no different. Baby Landon has insisted on hanging out on the right side of Mommy’s belly, causing the right side of Mommy’s belly to be more round than the left side. Silly baby! You know there’d be more room in that tiny belly if you were to spread out!
